With Amtrak's new ultra-low Night Owl Tickets, which start at just $5 one-way, regular travelers between New York City and Washington, D.C. can save significantly on early morning and late evening departures.

On a few Amtrak Northeast Corridor routes, including those that stop at Penn Station in New York, 30th Street Station in Philadelphia, Penn Station in Baltimore, and Union Station in Washington, fares range from $5 to $20.

For one-way coach tickets, sale prices apply to off-peak travel leaving between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m.
