We discovered round-trip tickets on Royal Air Maroc for just $567 from New York City (JFK) to Cairo (CAI) in September.
Be advised before you purchase that this cost does include a lengthy layover in Casablanca during the outbound trip.
In actuality, a lengthy layover was included in the majority of the best airfares we discovered from New York City to Egypt.
Fortunately, Oneworld member Royal Air Maroc enables travelers to check up to two bags and bring a small carry-on.
Royal Air Maroc charges a little bit more for the same NYC-Cairo flight in January, but the layover is much more tolerable.
Out of Chicago, we discovered a few discounts that were simply amazing.
Air Canada is offering this route for just $575 round-trip from O'Hare International Airport (ORD) to Cairo in late September.
What you would typically anticipate to pay for this trip is more than $600 less than that.
The return flight does have an 18-hour stopover in Montreal, but that's a terrific place to visit for a day.

If you'd like to go to the Pyramids in December, Swiss Air Lines has an amazing deal for only $608 round-trip from O'Hare to Cairo.
The savings are amazing, and the layovers in Zurich aren't quite as unpleasant.
Additionally, just like the Air Canada ticket we previously highlighted, this Swiss itinerary includes a free carry-on and a free first checked bag.
If you live in Texas, the best time to travel to Egypt is in September and October.
The availability was excellent during those months.
The cost of a round-trip Delta flight from Dallas (DFW) to Cairo is $644, which is a significant savings over going direct.
Two free checked baggage as well as one free carry-on are included in this fare.
For the West Coast, here's one.
Fall airfare on Swiss from San Francisco (SFO) to Egypt is a very competitive $662 round-trip.
Again, a free carry-on and a free checked luggage are included.
In January, the same path is accessible for the same low cost.
Oakland wasn't forgotten.
Flights from Oakland International Airport (OAK) to Cairo can be purchased for a significant discount.
In December and January, we discovered some rates that were more than 50% less expensive than usual.
