Deal alert: low fares on the upcoming high-speed train between Miami and Orlando

DEALS - 17-05-2023

Brightline, a recently launched high-speed rail that transports passengers between five communities in South Florida and Orlando International Airport (MCO), is currently selling tickets.

Tickets for this summer through the beginning of 2024 can be ordered starting on May 17. For a trip from Miami to MCO, the cheapest economy cost is $79 for adults and $39 for children.

Deal fundamentals

Train: Brightline.
Routes: To and from MCO, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Aventura, and Boca Raton.
How to Book: Online or using the Brightline app.
Travel dates: Tickets are presently on sale for travel through the beginning of 2023.

There are two different ticket categories: Smart (economy) fares and Premium (business-class) fares. With premium rates, you get somewhat bigger seats as well as extra benefits like free refreshments. All fares come with free high-speed Wi-Fi, many power outlets, USB ports, and leather seats.

Available routes

Adult customers can travel from Miami to Orlando for as little as $79 in economy class and $149 in business class. Families of four can purchase economy fare bundles for less than $199 one-way.

The other routes' economy tickets are currently priced as they are, however, we cannot promise that they will be available when you book:

    • Starting at $6.50, Miami to Aventura.

    • Starting at $10, Miami to Fort Lauderdale.

    • Starting at $10, Miami to West Palm Beach.

    • Starting at $12.50, Miami to Boca Raton.

Both are significantly better than other train services in the country, regardless of your seat class. We checked out the recently finished MCO train station and put the Starlink Wi-Fi to the test.

Shuttles to Miami International Airport (MIA) and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), ride-hailing services, and vehicle rentals are all available from the MCO station. Premium ticket holders get free Uber trips to and from Brightline stations in South Florida within a 5-mile radius.

The Brightline train station close to Terminal C is accessible to passengers departing from MCO, and it also connects to the more than 350 parking spaces in Garage C designated for Brightline visitors. Terminals A and B may be reached in under five minutes via the airport's Terminal Link from Brightline's MCO stop.

Between Miami and Orlando, there are 16 round-trip journeys per day with hourly departures; regular service makes stops at all Brightline stations in route. There will be more trains accessible for commuters between Miami and West Palm Beach, with the first train leaving West Palm Beach at 5 a.m. and the final train leaving Miami at 12:45 a.m.

After completing the necessary testing, Brightline will make a statement regarding future travel dates.
