Deal alert: round-trip tickets from New York to Savannah are available for $98.

DEALS - 31-08-2022

Savannah, Georgia, is a great place to go in the fall.
The city's moderate temps make it the ideal setting for exploring the streets, taking in the parks, and dining outdoors.
Savannah justifies its moniker as the "Hostess City" because to its warm Southern hospitality, countless fresh culinary selections, and abundance of warm housing options.

This fall, John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York and Savannah Hilton Head International Airport both have round-trip fares of $98 on Delta Air Lines and JetBlue Airways.
If you're considering an autumn trip to Savannah from New York, now is the time to make your reservation because fares for this route are often close to two times as expensive.

Especially with JetBlue's basic economy cost, which adds $50 if you want to bring a carry-on bag, be careful to notice any potential additional price charges while making your reservation.

Basics of deals

Airlines: JetBlue and Delta.

Routes: JFK to SAV .

Booking options include going directly through JetBlue, Google Flights, or Delta.

September till the beginning of November.

Flight examples

Non-stop Delta flights from JFK to Savannah start at $98 round-trip, which includes a free carry on bag but a $60 fee for a checked bag.

You cannot choose your seat with this basic economy cost, and there is a change fee if you want to change your plans.
While you can choose your seat and change flights using Delta's "Main Cabin" rate, which costs an additional $60, you still won't get a checked bag.

From September through the beginning of November, Delta is selling tickets for this $98 price.
Right now, Google Flights has a wide range of flight availability for both times and dates.
These costs do not include the busiest travel periods around Thanksgiving.

During this period, JetBlue is also providing $98 round-trip tickets between JFK and Savannah.
However, these prices do not include a carry-on bag, a choice of seats, or unrestricted ticket changes.

On this flight, JetBlue charges an additional $60 to check a bag or $50 for a pre-purchased carry-on package (for which an additional $60 would still be charged to check a bag).
You can choose a seat and change the flight time for no additional cost if you pay the extra $50.

Given JetBlue's "no carry-on baggage" rule for its Blue Basic Fare, Delta is the undisputed pricing leader for this route if you intend to fly with more than just a personal item.

Enhance your purchase

Pay with the Citi Prestige® Card for 5 points per dollar on airfare, the Citi Premier® Card or Chase Sapphire Reserve for 3 points per dollar on airfare when booked directly with the airline or through American Express Travel, the American Express® Gold Card for 3 points per dollar on airfare when booked directly with the airline or through American Express Travel, or the Platinum Card® from American Express for 5 points per dollar on airfare booked directly with the airline or through American Express Travel (on up to $500,000 on these purchases per calendar year).

To maximize miles, points, and other benefits when traveling with Delta, customers should think about getting either the Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card or the Delta SkyMiles® Platinum Business American Express Card.

In conclusion

Given that they are almost 50% less expensive than going normally on this route, these $98 fares on Delta and JetBlue between New York and Savannah are a good deal.
Just be mindful while purchasing JetBlue's Basic Blue rates since these tickets do not allow for the transportation of a carry-on bag.

Any time of year is a terrific time to visit Savannah, but the fall is especially pleasant because the city is cooler and easier to explore.
To benefit from these reduced rates and to visit Georgia's "Hostess City," make your reservations as soon as possible.
