In addition, it receives the most tourists among the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Airlines have reduced rates to St. Thomas in half, which makes sense given the island's abundance of luxurious resorts and exciting nightlife.
Prices start at $223 and depart from 13 different American locations. 


These inexpensive flights to Charlotte Amalie, the capital of St. Thomas, are typically available from December through March, with some exceptions in May and September.


It is almost guaranteed that seats on these flights will fill up rapidly, therefore we strongly advise getting your tickets as soon as you can.

The cheapest airfare available on May 3 from Burlington, Vermont, to St. Thomas costs $275 on Delta.
There are alternative possibilities from American, Delta, and United, but they all cost at least $500. 


Google Flights displays a $275 return flight on May 10 at 1:40 p.m. from Burlington, Vermont.
At JFK, both flights have a stopover.
The aircraft on May 10 has a layover in JFK for 4 hours and 36 minutes, so you'll get to Vermont at about midnight. 


The $275 cost is a significant saving despite the extended delay.
Google Flights estimates that the cheapest tickets to St. Thomas cost between $450 and $2,650. 


The deals in this selection of cheap flights are only available for the basic economy.
Passengers in Delta's basic economy are unable to choose their seats.
To choose a seat, travelers must pay an extra $80 to upgrade to Delta's Main cabin price.
Basic economy travelers are also the last to board and are not permitted to modify their tickets without paying a fee. 


The first checked bag on Delta's basic economy, however, costs $30 one-way and you are allowed to bring a free carry-on.


If you're interested in visiting St. Thomas, we advise making reservations for these flights as soon as possible because, according to information on the Delta website, there were just three tickets left at this price point at the time of writing.

In conclusion 

With its scuba diving, stunning beaches, and numerous golf courses, St. Thomas is the perfect island escape. Significant savings like these don't appear frequently.


Although many of these tickets are discounted by at least 50%, it's still worthwhile to book even though these lower costs only apply to the basic economy, which can be constrictive.
