Fly to Amsterdam from NYC on a new JetBlue route for $475 round-trip

DEALS - 27-04-2023

Amsterdam is now JetBlue's third European destination, as you may have heard.

On August 29, the New York-based airline will begin offering flights to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). What does this entail for passengers, then?

Fall airfare to the Dutch city is affordable, with flights starting at $475 for economy class and $1,894 for the considerably more opulent JetBlue Mint.

Basics of deals

Airlines: JetBlue.
Routes: New York City to Amsterdam.
How to book: Direct booking through JetBlue.

Flight examples

At the end of September, let's say you wish to travel to Amsterdam for a week. In order to get in Amsterdam at 11:35 a.m. on September 28 you can leave New York City at 10 p.m. on September 27 and (hopefully) sleep on the flight.

You can fly back to New York at 1:35 p.m. and arrive at 4 p.m. after almost a week of riding alongside the picturesque canals, indulging in stroopwafels, and visiting museums.

These flights are for the Blue Basic rate, which since it's a transatlantic journey permits one carry-on bag. Each way, a checked bag costs $65.

Mint seats are offered on the same flights at a higher cost, as seen in the photographs above. The total cost for the round-trip will be $1,893.75.

You will receive comfy, lie-flat seats that are ideal for overnight travel, aisle access, and individualized treatment in exchange. In addition to all the advantages of a Mint Suite, if you choose to choose a seat in the front-row Mint Studio, you will have access to a 22-inch TV, a mirrored vanity, extra storage, and a guest seat for another Mint traveler.

Enhance your purchase

Don't forget to pay for your flights with a credit card that offers bonus points. If you frequently fly JetBlue, think about utilizing one of the following cards:

    • JetBlue Plus Card: Earn 6 points per dollar spent on eligible JetBlue purchases.

    • JetBlue Card: Earn 3 points per dollar spent on eligible JetBlue purchases.

    • JetBlue Business Card: Earn 6 points per dollar spent on eligible JetBlue purchases.

Alternately, utilize a credit card for general travel that offers extra points for buying plane tickets, like:

    • Chase Sapphire Preferred Card: Earn 2 points per dollar on travel.

    • The Platinum Card® from American Express: Earn 5 points per dollar on airfare when booked directly with the airline or through American Express Travel, on up to $500,000 of these purchases per calendar year.

    • Chase Sapphire Reserve: Earn 3 points per dollar on airfare.

In conclusion

JetBlue offers fantastic options for your flight to Amsterdam, whether you choose to travel economy or choose a roomier business-class seat.

The flights are moderately priced, and they also leave at suitable times.

Not to add that autumn is a fantastic season to visit this quaint Dutch city because less visitors are there. Book as soon as possible to avoid price increases if you're eager to visit Amsterdam.
