For less than $500 this winter, fly to Paris.

DEALS - 20-07-2022

Here's a tip for seeing Europe while avoiding the large crowds that are packing airports and tourist spots all over the continent this summer.

Through July and August, you might easily spend over $1,000 on numerous round trips to Paris.
However, when the weather cools off, prices are currently declining by 50%.

There are some sub-$500 itineraries available as early as fall, so congrats if you can find one as soon as September.
However, when 2023 has passed, there will be the greatest amount of available.

Pack a coat and endure the weather instead of the crowds if you want to witness the Notre Dame repairs, climb the Eiffel Tower, or visit the Louvre without spending too much money.

Many of these offers are for round-trip flights on European low-cost airlines, which provide cheaper base fares to passengers. However, make sure to check and see what additional fees you'll have to pay (or not, if you can avoid them) for things like meals, seat selection, and baggage.

Looking for a more comfortable way to traverse the Atlantic?
Scott's Cheap Flights, one of our pals, also notes that there are some excellent business-class discounts to Paris.
For instance, we saw round-trip flights from New York in January and February that cost around $2,100.

The website offers two membership options: a Premium membership, which notifies users of discounted prices starting at $49 per year for economy-class bargains, and an Elite membership, which also covers first-class, business-class, and premium economy discounts, for $199 per year.

Due to the epidemic, testing requirements, and already crowded airports, tourists who have put off arranging a vacation to Europe may suddenly have the chance to visit one of the continent's most well-known towns.

Basics of deals

Play, TAP Air Portugal, and Icelandair are airlines.

Paris-bound routes from New York, Boston, Washington, Orlando, and Chicago.

Booking options include going directly to the airline or using Google Flights.

Travel dates: January through March 2023 as well as some autumn 2022 availability

Flight examples

Deals to the French city for less than $500 round-trip were noted.

You can find some round-trip itineraries for as little as $350, give or take, if you search for dates and airlines.

Remember that in some circumstances these might be provided by a budget carrier, which might charge exorbitant prices for services that you might otherwise receive for free through a legacy carrier.

However, many of these offers are currently so inexpensive that even after paying these extra costs, you will still be able to save money.

For instance, the bargains are primarily on Iceland's newest airline, Play, for passengers departing from the Washington, D.C., region.

The base fare is $386, which is an excellent value.
In light of this, we'll presume that you'll require at least a full-size carry-on bag for your personal items.
If you don't need any more services, the round-trip cost will be $92 more, for a total of $478.

Here are a handful of the routes we discovered for cheap flights.

    • Using Play's base fare, Washington to Paris costs $386.

    • Play's base cost from Boston to Paris is $374.

    • On TAP, New York to Paris costs $448.

    • Paris to Chicago on Icelandair costs $491.

    • Icelandair's $500 flight from Orlando to Paris.

The previously mentioned flight out of the Washington, D.C., area takes off from Baltimore/Washington Thurgood Marshall International Airport (BWI) and lands in Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) after a brief stopover at Iceland's Keflavik Airport (KEF).
You're on a plane operated by an Icelandic carrier, so this makes sense.
On your way home, you'll make a similar, hour-long stop.

On board the Portuguese airline TAP, I discovered a variety of possibilities for visitors to New York.
Your layover will be at Lisbon Airport when you depart from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) (LIS).

Surprisingly, this route will not take you to the main airport in Paris.
Actually, you'll be flying into and out of Paris-Orly Airport (ORY).

Additionally, if you're flying with the budget airline French Bee, you'll land at Orly.
This is a nonstop choice for people leaving from Newark.

Chicago residents can take a flight on Icelandair, another airline.

Less than an hour separates your overnight travel from O'Hare International Airport (ORD) to Keflavik from your over-three-hour flight to de Gaulle.
On the way back, your stop is once more about an hour away.

Additionally, there are some excellent business-class offers to be had later this year and in the first half of 2023.

A business class transatlantic flight on TAP's A330-900neo is included in this Newark to Orly itinerary.

Enhance your purchase

On expenditures of up to $500,000 made with The Platinum Card® from American Express (on flights booked directly with the airline or through American Express Travel), you can earn 5 points for every dollar you spend.
When you purchase flights through Capital One Travel, the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card will reward you with 5 miles for every $1 spent.
For every dollar spent on flights through Chase Ultimate Rewards, you receive 5 points with the Chase Sapphire Reserve.

In conclusion

If you need to carry a few coats, that's fine!

This offer is a terrific option to benefit from cheaper travel to Paris and take advantage of all that city has to offer, including its historical landmarks, art museums, cuisine, and more.
