Google Flights displays a 7:20 a.m. Delta Air Lines ticket is the least expensive choice if you were looking to spend Thanksgiving away from home and travel from Seattle.
Additionally, the trip includes a stopover at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York (JFK).

Both a 10 a.m. and an 11:30 a.m. flight are available from Delta for those who want to return home.
The same stopover in JFK is also required for the return flights.

These discounts are only available for the basic economy, which might feel constricting, especially on prolonged overseas trips.

A seat change or seat preference is not available in Delta's basic economy.
One carry-on bag is free for each passenger, and round-trip check-in for checked bags is $150.

Since Delta and KLM are both members of the SkyTeam alliance, you can also book your tickets to Milan through KLM.

You still save money on travel with these flights despite the limitations of a basic economy rate.
According to Google Flights, the typical cost of a flight from Seattle to Milan ranges from $750 to $1,950.

Enhance your purchase

Use a card that earns bonus points on airfare purchases, like The Platinum Card® from American Express (5 points per dollar on airfare booked directly with the airline or through American Express Travel, on up to $500,000 on these purchases per calendar year), Citi Prestige® Card (5 points per dollar on airfare), Citi Premier® Card, Chase Sapphire Reserve (3 points per dollar on airfare), American Express® Gold Card (3 points per dollar on airfare when booked directly with the airline or through Amex Travel) or the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card (2 points per dollar on travel).

In conclusion

These discounts are a less expensive choice if you wish to travel to Italy without spending a lot of money.
Flights to Italy may be had for as little as $950 on average, and they have approximately a 50% discount.

Booking basic economy is still worthwhile given the amount you may save on airfare, even though it is constrictive and not the most comfortable option for lengthy overseas flights.

Instead of spending that money on travel, you might use it to upgrade to a better hotel or go on a shopping spree in the city dubbed the "fashion capital of the world."
