At JFK's Greenwich Lounge, a new bar just opened.

NEWS - 14-03-2023

Travelers who are thirsty can now enjoy the new bar inside the Greenwich Lounge of British Airways and American Airlines at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK).
The gleaming, brand-new bar debuted after the Brooklyn Brewery Pub within the relatively recent JFK Terminal 8 lounge (previously the Flagship Lounge).

The actor Ryan Reynolds' aptly called Aviation American Gin has partnered exclusively with The Bridge Bar. A variety of unique drinks and mocktails are available there, all supported by Betty Buzz, a line of non-alcoholic sparkling mixers introduced by the actress Blake Lively.

The bar was designed to take visitors to a bygone era of air travel, and it most certainly nods its fedora (a Sinatra-approved one, no doubt) to those heady '60s years when air travel was as upscale as it got.

British Airways' chief customer officer, Calum Laming, thinks the new addition is well suited for the lounge.

We're delighted to introduce a new feature to the Greenwich Lounge, "Laming remarked.
"With Betty Buzz and Aviation American Gin, we have developed the ideal setting for clients to unwind prior to takeoff while providing a wide variety of delectable cocktail options and tastes to satisfy every taste.

You don't have to look far to find a place to get a beer while you wait for your flight.
Together with Soho and Chelsea, the Terminal 8 lounges for American Airlines and British Airways are located in Greenwich. Brooklyn Brewery also has a tasting room in Greenwich.

Customers may also select from a bizarre paring menu that includes Beer Braised Bratwurst, French Onion Grilled Cheese, and a Beer Float dessert at this self-described tap room, which can be seen above, while they sip a brewski and wait for their boarding time.

Regular travelers may recall that this location was originally known as the Flagship First dining facility, but the upscale lounge-within-a-lounge shuttered last year when British Airways co-located into American's JFK Terminal 8 and launched the Chelsea lounge only a few steps away.

The Bridge Bar and the Tasting Room are first-rate improvements that enhance an outstanding area. You must be one of the following in order to enter the Greenwich Lounge:

    • A passenger on British Airways Club World.

    • A Oneworld Sapphire member from a non-U.S. program taking any same-day Oneworld flight.

    • An American Flagship Business flyer on any route (including transcontinental ones).

    • American AAdvantage Platinum (and higher) elite members when flying in any class of service on Flagship routes, including from the U.S. to: Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle East, New Zealand and South America (excluding Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Peru, Suriname and Venezuela).

There is just one decision left to make: will you choose beer or cocktails?
When you reach there, we suppose you can cross that bridge.
