Avelo continues to expand with additional routes to the West Coast.

Avelo is still growing quickly.

The ultra-cheap company intends to fly between Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport (STS) in California and Redmond Municipal Airport (RDM) in Oregon. Additionally, it will resume a former route that runs from Burbank Hollywood International Airport (BUR) in California to Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN) in Montana.

The first flight from central Oregon to California's wine valley will be made by Avelo from RDM to STS. The airline already operates flights from Redmond to Burbank and Palm Springs in California.

According to an Avelo spokesperson, the BZN-BUR route was initially introduced in 2021 but was quickly discontinued due to a countrywide rental car shortage that made it difficult for travelers to travel to and from the airports.

Nevertheless, the airline is optimistic about the success of the route because it has experienced robust bookings out of Glacier Park International Airport (FCA) in Montana since announcing routes there in March, the spokesperson continued.

"We think it's different this time, and the strong bookings we're seeing out of the gate in FCA that we announced recently is a good indicator Montana is back in business," the official added.

Beginning on June 23, the RDM service will go to Sonoma County, and on June 28, the Bozeman service will go to Burbank. The airline announced in March that it would increase service between Montana's Glacier Park International Airport (FCA) and Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR).

Andrew Levy, CEO of Avelo, expressed excitement about the firm's new route from Redmond to California's wine region.

Levy stated in a statement that "flying to California Wine Country is now easier than ever — whether for vacation, a weekend getaway, or reconnecting with family and friends."

Nonstop flights to well-liked vacation spots are a key component of Avelo's business strategy. The carrier is particularly interested in underutilized airports in densely populated areas. Avelo has established bases in Burbank, New Haven, Orlando, and Wilmington since its 2021 start.

The additional routes follow Avelo's announcement last week that it will add nine more routes from its base in Wilmington, marking the carrier's single-largest expansion since its founding.

Flights from Redmond to Sonoma County start at $34 one-way. Burbank to Bozeman one-way travel costs start at $49.
