Breeze announces new route from Charleston to... Charleston?

NEWS - 29-03-2023

On Tuesday, Breeze Airways announced the addition of two new routes to Charleston, West Virginia, one of which distinguishes out for a special characteristic.

The airline will offer service between Charleston, West Virginia, and Charleston, South Carolina, as of May 31. On Tuesdays and Saturdays during the summer, the route will run.

On May 31, Breeze will offer year-round service on Wednesdays and Saturdays between the West Virginia city and Orlando.

West Virginia Governor Jim Justice stated in a statement, "I've maintained over and over that our airports are our lifeblood. They support our economy, increase tourism, and have out-of-this-world cascading effects.

Breeze, the most recent startup airline from JetBlue founder David Neeleman, began service in 2021 with a point-to-point operating model. Its goal is to provide nonstop service between smaller destinations that do not currently have direct air connectivity.

Embraer E190 and E195 regional planes were leased from Azul in Brazil, which Neeleman also started, and used for the airline's first few operations on brief, under two-hour flights. Earlier this year, the airline received its first brand-new Airbus A220.
Breeze can expand and run longer-distance trips between smaller airports because of this jet's ability to connect any two locations in the continental U.S.

Embraer planes will be used to fly the new flights out of Charleston, West Virginia. Within two years, according to the airline, five destinations will be accessible from the airport.

Breeze has Charleston, South Carolina, as a focal city, and it was also the location of the airline's first flight. Using the same-named city in South Carolina as its starting point, the airline will fly to 20 different places in all.
Columbus, Ohio, White Plains, New York, and Providence are some additional places you may go to from Charleston, South Carolina.
