Earn up to 6 miles per dollar on Apple purchases, including iPhones, for a limited time.

NEWS - 28-03-2023

Is it time to replace the electronics in your home office or get a new iPhone?
If so, it would be an excellent time to purchase the Apple goods you've had in your trolley. For a brief while, several airlines are giving extra miles for purchases made on Apple's website.

When you click through these online shopping sites on Monday, you'll earn more money when you buy Apple products.

    • American Airlines: Apple offers up to 6 miles for $1 spent (typically 1 mile per dollar).

    • Alaska Airlines: Earn up to 6 miles per $1 at Apple (typically 1 mile per dollar).

    • Delta Air Lines: Earn up to 6 miles per $1 at Apple (typically 1 mile per dollar).

    • United Airlines: Earn up to 6 miles every purchase at Apple (typically 1 mile per dollar).

When you go through, you'll see that various Apple items are giving out varying ratings. For instance, American AAdvantage offers 6 miles for every dollar spent on Apple iPhones and 3 miles for every dollar spent on Apple Watches.

Before making a big purchase, you should always use a shopping portal aggregator to compare the top earning rates for various retailers. Which offer is best for you overall will depend on how much value you place on your miles. Be aware that these aggregators may not always list bonuses based on spending requirements.

How miles can add up

Using the AAdvantage Shopping platform, you can get a base-model iPhone 14 Pro for $999 and earn 5,994 AAdvantage miles. The miles are worth $106.09 according to our estimations, and they might be worth considerably more if you can locate the correct flight to redeem them on.

The American shopping portal's base miles are now converted to loyalty points. As a result, achieving (or requalifying for) American elite rank would only be almost 6,000 Loyalty Points away.

There are certain restrictions on what you can purchase at these improved award rates: The usual exclusions from earning miles include gift cards, wrapping, monthly AppleCare+ subscriptions, Apple Developer Programs, and shipping. Some of Apple's most recent products, such as the HomePod (second generation), 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros, Mac mini, and Apple Pro Display XDR, are not eligible for points on the American portal.

Which credit cards to use

Surprisingly, the Apple Card isn't always the greatest credit card for buying Apple products.

Given the high cost of Apple's products, you should instead concentrate on credit cards with purchase protection and extended warranty advantages, even though they provide a respectable return. Benefits differ from card to card, but if your item is damaged or destroyed during the coverage period, you could be able to get paid. Many of our employees have successfully used credit card protections to cover their Apple products.

A card that will assist in protecting your phone in the event of loss or damage outside of the first few months when purchase protection is in effect is an excellent idea if you're purchasing an expensive new phone. The Ink Business Preferred Credit Card is a good option.

You might also think about a credit card like the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card, which offers higher rewards than 1 point or mile for every dollar spent. With this card, every dollar spent results in two Capital One miles. These miles can be transferred to different travel partners or redeemed at a set price for travel purchases.
