Frontier Airlines will soon introduce a new unlimited all-you-can-fly pass.

NEWS - 27-10-2022

The possibility of an all-you-can-fly pass is one of the few things that thrill frequent travelers the most.

For passengers, it resembles a lavish smorgasbord of fantasies in the sky.
Theoretically, there is no limit to how many destinations you can fly to for the same set price.
In fact, when JetBlue offered an unlimited Jet Pass for 30 days of flying in 2010, it became one of the most famous events in modern travel discounts.

A new all-you-can-fly pass will be available in 2023, we now know.
In contrast to the other instance, Denver-based Frontier Airlines will be providing limitless flight options.

What is known about the Frontier Airlines all-you-can-fly pass

The GoWild Pass, Frontier's recently announced all-you-can-fly deal, is still lacking certain information.
However, we do know that it will arrive in the spring of 2023 and that it will be valid for over 300 days of travel in that year for a full 12 months.

This suggests that there will be some days when it is not valid for travel, which we assume will be during the times the airline regards to be the busiest.
That is not unheard of for flight passes; for example, when JetBlue offered its pass more than ten years ago, the pass that allowed travel on Fridays and Sundays cost more than the pass that did not.

We also know that during the duration of the pass, Frontier's GoWild pass will be good for an unlimited number of flights to any of the company's destinations.

The email the airline sent out regarding the new pass states that "... you will be able to obtain confirmed for your flight for your flight the day before you take out," which may hint at a potentially difficult flaw with Frontier's flight pass strategy.

If this means that the earliest you will receive a confirmed ticket on the aircraft is that time, it is evident that the pass's usefulness is limited for people who need to schedule journeys more than a day in advance.

Also keep in mind that Frontier charges extra for full-sized carry-on bags and advance seat assignments, which could increase the cost of utilizing the pass to travel.

How much will a GoWild flying pass from Frontier cost?

Although Frontier claims that "a limited number of passes will be given at a WILDLY reduced pricing," we still don't know for sure how much this pass will cost.

Prior to a decade ago, JetBlue offered 30-day flight cards for between $499 and $699, depending on whether or not you wanted to fly on Fridays and Sundays.

Alaska Airlines launched a subscription-based flight pass earlier this year, with prices ranging from $49 to $749 per month.
However, that is not an unlimited pass, as it only applies to flights inside California and to Phoenix (PHX), Reno (RNO), and Las Vegas (LAS).

Of course, JetBlue and Alaska differ significantly from Frontier in terms of how they typically price tickets and how much money they gain from ancillary fees once a customer pays a base fare.

To give you an idea of how much Frontier charges, consider that its own annual Discount Den membership, which grants you access to cheaper tickets and an ongoing Kid's Fly Free deal (with numerous terms and conditions), costs $59.99 each year plus a $40 enrollment fee the first year.
In the recent past, Frontier has also given a year of their premier status for $499.

In conclusion

Starting in April 2023, there will be a brand-new way to fly that allows for limitless trips for a whole year at a set cost.

There are many unanswered questions regarding Frontier's upcoming GoWild flight pass, but what is known suggests that there will be some very important terms and conditions to be aware of before deciding if it will be useful in your situation, even though it will be valid for any Frontier Airlines destination for more than 300 days per year.

Also, because this is Frontier Airlines, which offers extremely cheap flights, you might need to take it into consideration if you require prior seat assignments and prefer to travel with luggage larger than a tiny backpack.

However, if you're interested in being among the first to discover more about Frontier's flying pass as soon as it becomes available, the airline has formed a list for potential customers who are interested.
