Members of IHG credit cards should check their emails for any bonus point opportunities.

It would be a good idea to check your inbox right now if you have an IHG co-branded credit card.
Recent targeted offers that have been sent to some cardholders may allow you to increase your spending in a few important categories.

During the next three months, the program will allow some cardholders to accrue extra points at a rate of 5 points per dollar spent at grocery stores, home improvement retailers, and gas stations.
The important disclaimer is that the bonus points are only valid for a total of $1,500 in spending. 

This promotion started on July 1 and ends on September 30.
You can take advantage of the deal and earn those bonus points until the conclusion of that period.

This could be a terrific method to top off or restart your earnings, regardless of whether you're close to the points you'll need for an award night at an IHG location or looking to expand your collection of IHG One Rewards points. 

Regarding cards offered, we can say that Scott's ad came with graphics for two IHG One Rewards Club cards (which haven't been open to new members since last year) and the IHG Rewards Traveler Credit Card.
Therefore, it's worthwhile to check to see if you accepted the offer if you have one of these cards. 

In the grocery shop and gas station categories, these cards commonly earn 1, 2, or 3 points for every dollar spent, while they all normally only earn 1 point for every dollar spent at "other" types of retailers, such as home improvement stores.
So, between now and the end of September, you have an opportunity to increase your income. 

You may only spend a maximum of $1,500 to be eligible for these additional bonus points, so if you take full advantage of the promotion, you will get 7,500 points.
7,500 IHG One Rewards points are worth approximately $37.50.
Therefore, the deal won't result in you getting a free night at an IHG location, but it can speed up your progress toward earning a free stay that is longer than what you would normally get.

The deal must be activated by September 30 at 11:59 p.m., which is also when it expires.
