United introduces a new, free snack menu for all passengers traveling in economy.

NEWS - 16-02-2023

If you're traveling on a United flight in the upcoming weeks, you might want to peek at the snack selection.

This is due to the Chicago-based airline's recent announcement of three new snack options, which are making their debut right before the busy spring break travel season.

Among the new choices are:

    • Dark chocolate and sea salt chocolate crisps by Undercover Snacks, starting March 1.

    • Apple and mango fruit bars by That’s it, starting April 1.

    • Savory snack mix by Summer Harvest, starting April 1.

With these additional options, people with dietary restrictions, such as Kosher, gluten- and allergen-free diets, will be able to find something to eat.
The apple and mango fruit bars and chocolate crisps are both kosher-certified and free of the majority of allergens.

The best part is that snacks are free on United, regardless of whether you paid an entry-level basic economy cost. These new munchies will be offered in all economy cabins.
United claims to provide 12 million snacks each month.

"Getting the snack cart just right is incredibly essential to us because we know it's frequently the highlight of a flight.
That's all there is, with the exception of Undercover Snacks.
According to managing director of hospitality and planning Aaron McMillan, there is something for everyone, including fruit bars and a traditional savory snack mix.

The airline still needs to work through a larger food makeover for its premium cabins and long-haul routes, even though the new snacks are undoubtedly intriguing for frequent travelers.

The food selections at United continue to be disappointing, and many of the menus haven't been updated in months.
Several passengers have grown frustrated with the airline's pandemic-era food service since it is so inferior to what its two major rivals in the United States, American, and Delta, offer.

Thankfully, the airline is aware of the problems and is attempting to fix them.
With additional interesting catering changes anticipated in the spring, it recently constructed a brand-new test kitchen in Chicago next to its Willis Tower headquarters.

As on February 1, travelers on United Polaris will once again be able to indulge in the entire dessert trolley experience, which includes a create-your-own sundae bar with six toppings, cheese platters, and mouthwatering tarts and cakes.
