Virgin Atlantic announces new flights to the Turks and Caicos Islands and the Maldives.

NEWS - 21-11-2022

Virgin Atlantic will begin offering flights to the alluring islands of the Maldives and Turks and Caicos in October 2023.

A seasonal three-times-weekly service will run between London's Heathrow Airport (LHR) and the Maldives, opening up a whole new world of tropical possibilities.
For flights starting on October 22, 2023, tickets will go on sale on November 30, 2022.

Since November through April are the busiest months for tourists to travel to the Maldives, this seasonal approach is especially alluring for those who are already planning to enjoy some winter sun the following year.

This South Asian paradise is now more accessible than ever, with close to 190 different varieties of coral to discover, sand as white as a "Love Island" contestant's teeth, and waters brimming with wildlife.
Who hasn't fantasized about staying in one of those stilted water villas you usually only see in movies?

Virgin Atlantic has announced plans for a year-round twice-weekly flight to Turks & Caicos, which will debut Nov. 15, 2023, with seats going on sale Jan. 11, 2023. This flight would travel about 9,000 miles away.

The ultra-exclusive location expands Virgin Atlantic's prestigious Caribbean portfolio, which already includes Jamaica, the Bahamas, St. Vincent, and the Grenadines.

Similar thinking may be found in Juha Jarvinen, chief commercial officer at Virgin Atlantic.

We are beyond excited to introduce these two new, exotic routes to our flying options, he said.
Nothing makes our hearts soar like a new place to discover, so there's really only one question now two more are ready to join our network.
What comes first?"

The Maldives, according to Jarvinen, have long been a very popular travel destination for Virgin Atlantic Holidays clients, so we couldn't wait to give them the chance to visit the wonderful place in style onboard Virgin Atlantic aircraft.

The airline's Boeing 787-9 aircraft will fly both new routes, offering 192 economy seats, 35 premium economy seats, and 31 Upper-Class seats.

There are presently bargains with Virgin Atlantic between London and Bridgetown, Barbados, starting at 512 British pounds ($608) during the winter, or 26,000 Virgin points plus 360 British pounds ($428) in taxes and fees. However, there are no updated details on prices.
