With water-themed coasters at all 3 parks, SeaWorld splashes into 2023.

NEWS - 21-10-2022

SeaWorld San Antonio inaugurated the largest "screaming swing," SeaWorld Orlando premiered record-breaking roller coasters, and SeaWorld San Diego opened the first Sesame Place park on the West Coast all in the year 2022.

To the pleasure of thrill-seekers everywhere, SeaWorld's journey to become one of the nation's top roller coaster attractions is far from complete.
All three SeaWorld parks have just revealed new coasters for 2023.
The coasters all have an ocean motif to stay faithful to SeaWorld's beginnings, but each one is unique in its design and plot.

Pipeline: The Surf Coaster – SeaWorld Orlando

SeaWorld Orlando will expand its collection of top-notch coasters by including Pipeline: The Surf Coaster the following year.
This stand-up "surf coaster" has rides that are shaped like enormous surfboards.
Through a sequence of turns and twists, including five thrilling airborne moves and an inversion known as a "wave curl," riders will "hang ten."

Even the most inexperienced surfers have the chance to "catch a wave" and ride it to shore at up to 60 mph thanks to Pipeline's surf theme.
This will be the sixth coaster at SeaWorld Orlando when it opens in 2023.

Arctic Rescue – SeaWorld San Diego

Arctic Rescue will be the longest and fastest straddle coaster on the West Coast when it opens in the spring of 2023.
You'll be riding a snowmobile and going into the frozen "arctic" to "save" animals from poachers and the effects of climate change.

That may seem like an ambitious plot for a roller coaster, but as with many of the park's attractions, SeaWorld aims to appeal to park visitors by fusing knowledge and education with thrill.

This family-friendly coaster features a minimum height requirement of 48 inches and three high-speed launches, each quicker than the last, with a top speed of 40 mph, allowing families to "ride to the rescue" together.

Catapult Falls – SeaWorld San Antonio

Construction of Catapult Falls, the first launched flume coaster in history, is now under way at SeaWorld San Antonio in Texas.
Aside from having the steepest flume ride drop in the world and the only vertical flume coaster in North America, Catapult Falls is slated to open in 2023.

According to its name, a flume coaster is a hybrid of a water flume attraction and a roller coaster.
You will get wet, as you would have imagined, but how exactly you will ascend the ride's extremely steep descent is something you might not have predicted.
In place of the customary lift hill, Catapult Falls will use an outdoor elevator to carry your raft to the top of the 55-foot fall hill (hence the "vertical lift" designation).

The best of both worlds can be found on this combo coaster and water attraction, which features an exhilarating launch and numerous chances to get splashed.

In conclusion

Although it may not have been what first put SeaWorld parks on the map, the construction of some of the tallest, fastest, and steepest roller coasters in the nation is undoubtedly what keeps them there.
While you wait for these exciting new roller coasters to make a mark at their respective parks.
