T-Mobile introduces new 'Coverage Beyond' travel advantages.

REVIEWS - 16-06-2022

T-Mobile today introduced its new "Coverage Beyond" bundle of perks for wireless consumers, just in time for the summer travel season.

Benefits include free aircraft Wi-Fi and increased high-speed international data coverage, as well as additional perks like free AAA membership, Priceline booking offers, and even some limited petrol reductions, which will be available starting June 21.

"We know there's a strong desire to travel again, and we're trying to make it easier for individuals to reconnect with the world while also saving money."

International high-speed data coverage has been expanded.

T-Mobile will provide customers on its Magenta MAX and Business Unlimited Ultimate plans 5 gigabytes of free high-speed data per month in more than 200 countries as part of its Coverage Beyond campaign.

There will be no opt-ins or sign-ups necessary for the extended access.

"Our consumers just want their phone to operate when they get off the airport," McLaughlin explained.
Customers can either sign up for a day pass for a price or continue to use data at 256 kilobytes per second rates if their 5GB of data is used up.
Customers with comparable Sprint plans and regular Magenta customers (and those with most business plans) will automatically receive 256 KB per second for international data access worldwide, which is double the current speed and good enough for email, texting, and basic GPS directions, but not much else.

Customers in the 11 Deutsche Telecom-covered nations of Austria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, and Slovakia will also enjoy 5 GB of high-speed access.

This is in addition to the free texting that is currently available in all destinations.
T-Mobile customers will continue to receive 5 GB of high-speed data and free calls in Canada and Mexico (for most plans).

There is no cost to fly.
Wi-Fi

It's a welcome respite for airline travellers who have been paying expensive Wi-Fi costs and experiencing poor speeds.
T-Mobile will begin offering free high-speed streaming on select Alaska, American, and Delta flights on June 21, with service on United "coming soon," according to T-McLaughlin. Mobile's

The access will be based on certain airline carriers' technical capabilities and satellite links, and will serve a "strong domestic market," according to McLaughlin.
T-Mobile is presently collaborating with a number of satellite providers in order to expand its coverage across a variety of airlines and aircraft types.
T-Mobile Wi-Fi will be available on some overseas flights.

Only T-top-tier Mobile's Magenta MAX and Business Unlimited Ultimate plan users, as well as those with corresponding Sprint plans, will get unlimited free aeroplane streaming Wi-Fi connections for the duration of the flight.

Regular customers, on the other hand, shouldn't be concerned because T-Magenta Mobile's plan and others will feature free Wi-Fi connectivity for four full flights each year, as well as a free hour on any extra trips.
Customers who already have free or subsidised T-Mobile access to services like Apple TV, MLB Network, and Netflix will be able to enjoy the content on flights.

AAA, Priceline, and Shell all provide travel discounts.

T-Coverage Mobile's Beyond plan isn't just for overseas travellers on the go.
Domestic road trippers will also receive certain incentives from the company.

T-Mobile is now offering all customers on Magenta, Magenta MAX, and some corporate plans free AAA membership (worth $60) and 24-hour roadside assistance as part of a new agreement.
(Please note that unless you cancel your AAA membership, it will automatically renew at market prices.)

T-Mobile is also offering a 25-cent fuel discount at Shell gas stations through July to help you save money on the road.
However, keep in mind that this discount is only valid for the first 20 gallons (a $5 value).

T-"T-Mobile Mobile's Tuesdays" app-based rewards programme, according to McLaughlin, will continue to offer fuel discounts to consumers "more in the 10 cents per gallon level."

T-"T-Mobile Mobile's Trip with Priceline" inexpensive travel booking programme is an intriguing wildcard in the company's new benefits.
T-Mobile customers now have access to special hotel and rental car deals on Priceline.com, as well as the ability to book airline tickets through the programme.

According to T-press Mobile's release, consumers have saved $100 per night on Hawaii hotel rooms and have earned $900 in discounts for a six-day Miami vacation.

Final thoughts

T-new Mobile's travel advantages will be a welcome addition for existing customers and could entice new ones to join or upgrade.

Many of the best features are only accessible on T-Magenta Mobile's MAX and Business Unlimited Ultimate plans, which are both more expensive.
Regular Magenta users, on the other hand, will benefit from major perks such as improved aircraft Wi-Fi, worldwide coverage, and AAA membership.

The gas programme offers only minor discounts, but with the high cost of living this summer, every little bit helps.
