As of June 16, Uber's Reserve service has been expanded to allow users to reserve a ride in advance from more than 55 global airports, following its first introduction in the autumn.
Travelers may reserve an Uber Black or Black SUV up to 30 days ahead of time at nearly 39 major U.S. airports with Uber Reserve, just in time for the hectic summer travel season.
There are now 55 airports where Uber Reserve is available.
Uber Reserve is available to tourists who want to book cars before flying into airports like Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS), Harry Reid International Airport (LAS), Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), and San Francisco International Airport (SFO) (SFO).
The Reserve's footprint in North America has nearly doubled with the addition of these new airports.

How to make an Uber Reserve reservation
Simply open your Uber app and tap the "Reserve" symbol on the right-hand side to book an Uber Reserve.
Should you experience any airline delays, the app will notify you that your driver will wait up to 60 minutes after your scheduled arrival time.
If your flight is delayed outside of that window, Uber says its flight tracking integration will automatically adjust your reservation time based on flight information to ensure your driver is ready and waiting at the airport when your flight arrives, regardless of whether it is on time, early, or delayed.
If unanticipated situations happen that are not communicated by the tracking service, Uber did not specify the rider-driver protocol.
Then, using the calendar, choose the date you wish to pick up your car and enter your flight information.
That precise flight should populate once you enter your flight number.
To proceed to the final step, select your flight and press the arrow.

After you've double-checked that everything is in order, choose your payment method and vehicle type before clicking "Reserve" to complete the reservation.
Other Uber features at the airport
If your plans change, remember that you can cancel your Uber Reserve appointment for no additional fee up to one hour before your scheduled time.
Travelers can also use the "Ready When You Are" function to schedule transportation for a specified time after arriving at the airport.
For example, at select airports, you can plan a ride to pick you up in 10 minutes, 20 minutes, or as soon as feasible; this includes airports in New Orleans, Philadelphia, and Seattle, with more to come later this year.
Both Android and iOS users can use the feature right now.

Drivers booked through the "Ready When You Are" function will wait for up to an hour at no additional fee, similar to Uber Reserve. This is to allow travellers to gather their belongings and freshen up, though additional charges may apply if you keep your driver for more than an hour.

When booking an Uber curbside pickup, keep in mind that all ride-hailing service pickups are limited to certain places within airports, as indicated on the app and on airport grounds.
To book an Uber, Lyft, or taxi at LAX, for example, passengers must take a shuttle to a designated spot off airport premises.
Final thoughts
These Uber features provide travellers the option of reserving a trip to or from the airport ahead of time, but if there are any delays or disruptions, taxi cabs can help.
